Joanna & Nick, Crest Center and Pavilion Wedding

FILED IN: Uncategorized

Joanna and Nick really know how to have fun.
Some of my favorite things about their wedding…

1. I could feel their connection as I shot.
2. Joanna wasn’t afraid to take some risks with her headpiece/headband and it worked for her, big time. It always makes me happy when I feel like a bride can truly be herself on her wedding day.
3. They had “hangover kits” for their guests. Thoughtful.
4. The personalized details of this event were impressive.
5. They trusted the vision I had for their wedding photographs.

Joanna got ready at Hotel Indigo in downtown Asheville. Her make-up was done by the talented Wendy Ballance with Blush! I always love when my brides use professional hair and make up. It makes such a difference.

The views at Crest were breathtaking on this gorgeous but chilly day in November.

The details for this wedding were very meaningful to the couple. Verge Events did a beautiful job with these custom touches.

Studio Flora Diva provided the floral decor for the wedding. The bouquets added the perfect ‘pop’ to this fall event.

Loved photographing real moments like this one, even during the ‘family formals’ portion of the day. Her Dad cracked a joke, and my shutter button moved quickly on this moment in time.

DJ Dylan Skidmore with Blazin’ Sounds Entertainment really rocked this celebration.

    Jill-

I cannot say enough wonderful things about you or the caliber of your work. You and Ian did such an incredible job, but I’ve gotta be honest- I was most looking forward to just seeing you and working with you again! You’ve now done 3 different shoots (well, more, if you count each part of the wedding day) and you have given us memories to last a lifetime. I only wish we lived closer so you could have done maternity shots for me! Anyway, thank you for capturing such a fun, love-filled, emotional day for us. We love you.

It is always an honor to work with such professional vendors. Thank you to the bride and groom for giving us the grace and joy in being able to bake and create on your VERY special day. xxoo
